Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who shouldn\u2019t be permitted to own or be around animals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hayden Howard discovered that her dog wasn\u2019t feeling well a few years ago.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While she was inside, her English Mastiff Jackson had been playing in the backyard. It appeared as though he was covered in bug bites when she called him in.<\/p>\n

However, upon closer inspection, she found that the reality was even worse.<\/p>\n

In actuality, Jackson had numerous gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

\u201dI was completely shocked, I didn\u2019t know what to think,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0Hayden told WXIN.<\/p>\n

he immediately rushed Jackson to the veterinarian after realizing he had been shot. Upon examining Jackson, the veterinarian discovered a large number of little bullets that had been fired from a BB pistol.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was one stuck under his eyelid, one in his ear, one in his knee, they were everywhere,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0Hayden says.<\/p>\n

Jackson\u2019s fur had to be shaved almost entirely by the veterinarian in order to remove the numerous plastic shells. He had to leave 20 rounds where they were and extracted a total of 27 bullets.<\/p>\n

The veterinarian also discovered 20 other bullet holes throughout Jackson\u2019s tiny frame.<\/p>\n

He\u2019d received almost 70 gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have never seen an animal shot that many times,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0Assistant Chief Craig Hayes of the Seymour Police Department stated,\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s a very bad case and it\u2019s sad to see.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

I find it incomprehensible that someone could do such a horrible thing to a dog, especially when the dog has never harmed anyone.<\/p>\n

Police were pursuing the person who was thought to be the source of the gunfire, who was thought to be in a neighboring yard.<\/p>\n

They quickly discovered that a neighbor\u2019s house had a rifle stashed inside, along with some ammunition.<\/p>\n

The Daily Mail\u00a0stated that the cops discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in his residence along with a BB pistol and pellets.<\/p>\n

It is my sincere desire that the offender receives a lengthy prison sentence and bears the consequences of their actions.<\/p>\n

Sincerely, I think they should never be allowed to approach an animal after they leave.<\/p>\n

According to Hayden, Jackson is healing nicely despite his significant trauma.<\/p>\n
